Soon after graduation from St Stephens College, Delhi he entered a career of journalism with the Times of India in its Delhi edition. Worked with distinction both as a reporter and on the desk, and consequently he soon became the City Editor in Delhi. After some years as City Editor since 2005 he is Editor Corporate-Affairs, The Times of India responsible for work related to corporate affairs.

Initially interested in coverage of activities in the social field like education, neglected children etc he veered round to political journalism and pursued his erstwhile interest through organizational involvement.

He has traveled widely in the country and abroad on assignments and otherwise. In 2005 was given a fellowship to United States of America and was the only journalist in the country to have been invited by the United States government under the auspices of their International Visitors Leadership Program for the project “Combating International Crime”.
